Acerca de mí
I consider myself one of the few true "Atlantans," as I was born and raised in Decatur, Ga. with my two wonderful parents and two awesome big brothers. I am a graduate of Emory University, as well as Clark Atlanta University. I chose to become a social worker because as a young child, I saw injustices happen to people. I knew I wanted to make a difference in people's lives, especially the lives of children.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
I have been working with children and adolescents for over 15 years, and it is truly my passion. I also have experience working with adults in various capacities. I feel that children are the leaders of the future, and it is imperative to nurture, guide, support, love and help restore them so they can flourish.
Cómo vivo bien
I try to eat healthy foods (fruits, vegetables and grains) and stay away from any food that has high fructose corn syrup. I do some form of exercise weekly, whether it is walking, running, cycling or chasing my pets around the house. I also love reading, word searches, adventure based activities and cooking. I feel you do not have a choice about your ethnicity, but you do have a right to nurture the skin you are in by loving it, taking care of it and cultivating it. I volunteer with several community agencies in an effort to improve the quality of life for people who may need a little extra support and love. I believe that as long as you spread love and are kind to people and yourself, nothing but goodness will return to you. As William Shakespeare said, "To thine own self be true." The rest is easy!
