Kaiser Permanente medical center practitioner
Idioma que hablo:
Sí, acepto pacientes nuevos.
I grew up in New York, raised by a pediatrician (my mother) and a family physician (my father). This upbringing has allowed me an intimate opportunity to see firsthand how doctors' actions can have a positive impact on patients' lives and how rewarding that experience can be for the physician as well. I have been living in Atlanta since meeting my husband in 2005, and we now have two small children.
Children are the most valuable pieces of the future and every one of them deserves an opportunity to grow up happy and healthy. I could not imagine a more rewarding and fun job than being a pediatrician. I enjoy the hands on nature of pediatrics and the relationship you form with a family as you watch their child grow and develop. I believe that as a pediatrician, it is my responsibility to help patients and families not only take care of illness, but to also provide preventive care and anticipatory guidance. Pediatrics gives me the ability to fulfill the vital role of educating parents and their families. I have been blessed with the opportunity to follow my dream of becoming a pediatrician. I look forward to contributing and having a positive and meaningful impact on our youngest Kaiser Permanente members and their families.
Since having my own children, I have become incredibly passionate about nutrition and being aware of what is in our food, how it is grown, its nutritional value and the positive and negative impact it can have on health. I believe it is our responsibility as parents to not only set good examples by making healthy choices, but to also teach our children how to make healthy lifestyle choices for themselves. I hope to share this passion with families and teach them how real, whole and nutrient-dense food can support health and add to quality of life. Exercise does not have to be something you dread! I try to do a variety of different activities, which I enjoy, so staying active does not feel like a chore. My favorites include weightlifting, yoga and chasing my little ones around at the park. Exercise is important for the physical and mental well-being of everyone in your family.
