Acerca de mí
I grew up in Tallahassee, Fla. with two younger sisters and wonderful parents. Following college, I got married to my lovely wife and we moved to Georgia for my graduate studies in health policy and management at Emory University and medicine at the Medical College of Georgia. My family and I enjoyed living in the South, but we decided to migrate to the Northeast for my internal medicine residency at Yale University and cardiovascular disease fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. We have three children, and following the completion of my training, we happily moved back home to the South to be closer to our family.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
I decided to specialize in cardiovascular disease due to my complete fascination with the heart. It is an amazing and complex structure essential for providing nourishment to the entire body. Within this field, I have a special interest in preventive cardiology and cardiovascular quality-health policy. It is with these two special interests in mind that I chose to join Kaiser Permanente. Kaiser Permanente's unique model of integrated care allows me to promote healthy heart initiatives while also developing programs to ensure our members are receiving high-quality cardiovascular care and outcomes.
Cómo vivo bien
I enjoy spending time with my family and watching my children grow. My wife and I spend most of our free time doing activities with the kids, including trips to the beach and visiting family. I also enjoy exercising, going to sporting events and reading books on history.
