About Me

Born and raised in a suburb of New York City, I relocated to Northern California for medical school, and that’s where I met my wife. We have two young girls and are excited to raise our family in Salem. My wife and I are both veterans of the U.S. Navy. It was an honor serving the medical needs of our service members along with their family members and retirees. I also participated in two overseas deployments before transitioning to private practice. Our family enjoys hiking, cycling, going to the coast, and visiting the many parks that this region offers.

About my practice

I enjoy the full spectrum of family medicine along with the many great relationships that are built along the way. Recognizing the obesity epidemic in our nation, I received training as a medical weight-loss specialist and was certified by the American Board of Obesity Medicine. I particularly enjoy developing personalized approaches to prevent, treat, and reverse the disease of obesity. Additional interests include metabolic diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol, as well as depression, anxiety, and ADHD. I am passionate about preventing disease before it occurs, early detection, and non-medical treatments. I will work with you to look beyond the guidelines to achieve optimal health.

How I thrive

I have been an active yoga practitioner for over 20 years and firmly believe in the contributions that a regular yoga practice has had on my overall health. My passion in medicine is to foster health in my life, my family, and the lives of those I care for.
