About Me

I am delighted that you have chosen to look at this Web site. I decided to establish my practice with Southern California Permanente Medical Group because I feel that through this organization, I am able to provide excellent quality of care for my patients. At the same time, I am able to educate my patients about their health conditions and to provide preventive screening tests.

Biography

I was born in Tehran, Iran, and immigrated to the United States at the age of 12. I have lived in Southern California for over ten years. I fell in love with the field of biology in high school and went on to obtain my bachelor's degree in biological sciences at UC Irvine. I then attended medical school at Keck/USC School of Medicine. Finally, I was delighted to complete my internal medicine residency in the UCLA Veterans Administration program. Aside from studying for many years and practicing medicine, I have been pursuing my love for animals. I have many pets, including a rabbit, two dogs, and a cat. I hope to be able to adopt more pets in the future. I feel that animals provide unconditional love, and I recommend adopting pets to everyone.

About my practice

I currently practice primarily in the hospital setting at the Woodland Hills Medical Center. I admit patients from the emergency room to the hospital and also take care of hospitalized patients. My role is to also to educate patients about their medical conditions, their treatment, and their medications in order to help them avoid future hospitalizations. I am pleased to work with a team of caring, dedicated, and intelligent physicians to provide the highest quality of care to our patients.

How I thrive

In addition to my love of pets, I like to spend time with my family and friends. I usually visit my grandmother weekly, at which time we take a walk together. Unfortunately, she has severe osteoarthritis and is unable to walk long distances. I also enjoy going out to the movies and dinner with my friends. My friends are of different ethnic and religious backgrounds, and we all enjoy diversity and learn from each other's experiences. I love learning to speak many languages. I currently speak Farsi and Spanish fluently. One day, I hope to also learn to speak Hebrew and French as well.
