About Me

I came to Colorado after growing up in Ohio and going to school at Johns Hopkins University. I am board certified in family medicine and emergency medicine. I previously lived in Frisco, Colorado, where I had a private practice and worked in the emergency room. I was the first chief of staff for the hospital there. I have been with Kaiser Permanente since 2006 and very much believe in our philosophy and approach to medical care. I enjoy the mountains, skiing and hot springs. I have three children and one beautiful granddaughter. My partner is an archaeologist and we enjoy traveling to ruins of the past.

About my practice

I have worked in occupational medicine and primary care and now serve patients in Urgent Care. This is a wonderful fit for me with my emergency room and primary care experience and training. My goal is to focus on your visit and your concerns. I want to know why you have sought care and how I can help. I’ll listen to understand your questions and work with you to make a treatment plan that meets your needs. Electronic medical records help me to see the big picture of your health and empower me to provide the most appropriate care for you.

How I thrive

My father was a physician and my mother was in politics. I enjoy both! I served on Frisco Town Council and now occasionally attend the Arvada Council meetings. I enjoy disc golf and have played many of the courses in Colorado. I ride a unicycle and for many years participated in Frisco’s Fourth of July parade. I enjoy hot springs and love the San Luis Valley.
