Acerca de mí
Welcome to my Web page. I am very happy to have this opportunity to introduce myself to you and to tell you a bit about myself. I feel very fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente. I am surrounded by caring and competent colleagues and daily I meet interesting people who happen to be my patients. I look forward to meeting you too.
I grew up in Southern California but moved to Northern California to attend college. While there, I came to know and admire my brother-in-law, a young family practice doctor. He allowed me to accompany him in his medical practice on many occasions and under many circumstances (I was fortunate to join him for medical rounds on several tiny islands in the U.S. Trust Territories). I was in awe of his knowledge and the compassion and care he showed his patients. His example inspired me to become a family practice doctor as well.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
I view the practice of medicine as a very special opportunity to connect with and to help people in a meaningful way. By using the medical skills and knowledge I learned during training, and by also remembering to listen carefully to what my patients are really telling me, I am able to I respond to health care needs with both my mind and my heart. We people are such complex beings. So many influences from our past and present lives affect our health. As a family practice physician, I am privileged to be in the best position to get to know my patients as whole people and understand these connections. This knowledge helps me partner with my patients to make the best decisions for their health.
Cómo vivo bien
My family is at the center of my well-being. I am blessed with a wonderful immediate and extended family. Humor and laughter also keep me well. We all need balance in our lives-work and relaxation, exercise and rest. I do my best to relax, practice guitar, and exercise regularly. I am also a firm believer in the benefits of meditative practices.
