About Me

Welcome to my Web page. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about my practice. I look forward to working with you to care for your health.

Biography

I was born and raised in Taiwan. After finishing my medical education and training in Taiwan, I came to the United States for a graduate degree at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I received my M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in physiology and biophysics, and completed a postdoctoral research fellowship at UC San Francisco, funded by a National Research Service Award from the National Institutes of Health. I then restarted my clinical training and career as a cardiologist in 1999. I have been working at Kaiser Permanente since 2006.

About my practice

I have realized the importance of helping those who do not understand the health care system, and of being sensitive to cultural diversity in making medical decisions. I also strive to help those who cannot speak English well enough to access care. My belief is that healthy living and preventive care are the best ways to stay healthy. I am here to help in illness and recovery. I want to be your partner and consultant in health, and it helps me better care for you when you are actively involved in taking care of your health.

How I thrive

My family is my first priority. We enjoy trips to the countryside and quiet family time at home. We also enjoy trying different styles of food, especially French, Italian, and various Asian cuisines.
