About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I am happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice. I have been a pathologist at Kaiser Permanente South Bay Medical Center for more than 20 years. I feel very fortunate to practice at Kaiser Permanente. I look forward to working with you to care for your health.

Biography

I was born and raised in Connecticut with undergraduate training at the University of Connecticut in biology (BS) and postgraduate training in biological engineering (MS). I did further postgraduate work in physiology at Georgetown University (MS). I moved from Connecticut to Los Angeles for my internship and residency training at Harbor UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, where I am still assistant professor of pathology and laboratory medicine. I fell in love with the sunny weather and made Southern California my home for good. I met my wonderful wife during residency. We have a teenage son, who loves sports. I run four miles every morning. He works out in the gym. He loves baseball and ice hockey. I try to make all of his games and keep score for his high school baseball team. I am also actively involved with our homeowners association. My hobbies include gardening, jogging and computers.

About my practice

Our team here in South Bay includes physicians, transcriptionists, tissue technicians and other professionals who provide a great work environment in which to perform pathology. I am also actively involved in administration at the medical center and am the physician leader of capital equipment and remodeling. We are currently building new facilities to replace the older portions of the hospital. The work is scheduled to be completed by 2015, which will be an exciting time at South Bay!

How I thrive

My family is my major priority. We enjoy outings to Angels and Ducks games. I try to remain active with my morning jogging. My wife, son, and I enjoy winter and summer trips to the Western mountain areas, and quiet family time at home. I also travel with my son to National Baseball Tournaments mostly in Phoenix, AZ. We also enjoy going to Disney World and Disneyland.
