About Me

I am glad to have the opportunity to present my credentials to you and to share other information about myself. It's very important that you feel comfortable with your physician, and I hope this page will help you start to get to know me.

Biography

I am a third generation Chinese American, born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. Unfortunately, I did not have the opportunity to learn to speak Chinese, but my English is excellent! I attended the University of Cincinnati for both my undergraduate degree in biology and my medical degree. I graduated from medical school in 1980, and completed my family medicine residency at Long Beach Memorial Hospital. Because of Southern California's great weather and diverse culture, I decided to stay in California. In my off time, I enjoy traveling around the world.

About my practice

I feel that healthy living and preventive care are the best ways to stay healthy, but I am also here to help you when you are sick. I want to be your partner in health, and it helps me better care for you when you are actively involved in taking care of your health.

How I thrive

I firmly believe in Kaiser Permanente's philosophy of "total health," and I try to live it in my life every day. I try to balance my life by allocating a certain amount of time for my work, my family, and for myself.
