About Me

Hello, and welcome! Thank you for taking the time to learn about my practice and me. I hope that this Web page gives you an idea of who I am as a person and a physician.

Biography

I was born and raised in Southern California. I went to UC Berkeley for my undergraduate studies but returned to my home in Orange County to attend UC Irvine School of Medicine. My parents are immigrants from Iran, and I believe their hard work and dedication have provided me with a good example of how to lead my life and my career. Their influence is with me every day.

About my practice

I chose the field of family medicine because I enjoy treating the whole family: infants, children, teens, and adults. I strongly believe good health comes with a well-balanced diet, an active lifestyle, and a thoughtful mind. Every person is in charge of his or her own health, and I am just one of the many resources Kaiser Permanente offers to help members reach their health goals.

How I thrive

I try my best to practice what I preach and lead a well-balanced life. I eat a healthy diet full of fruits and vegetables (and, of course, my daily piece of dark chocolate!). I also exercise regularly, usually at the gym on weekdays and hiking with my husband on the weekends. I also love to travel and learn the ways that other cultures live, and I try to bring some of those components into my own life.
