The process for verifying eligibility is determined by the region that authorizes services for the member. Find out how to confirm a member’s eligibility for each of our regions.

As a contracted provider, you are encouraged to verify eligibility for commercial or Medicare members. Do not assume that coverage is in effect because a person produces a Kaiser Permanente member ID card.

You should always confirm that the patient is currently a Kaiser Permanente commercial or Medicare member in the region that authorizes services for the member.
