Acerca de mí
Hello, my name is Dr. Mani Javvaji. I’m glad to have the opportunity to present my credentials to you and share information about myself. It’s very important that you feel comfortable with your dermatologic surgeon, and I hope this page will help you start to get to know me.
I attended the accelerated BA/MD program at University of Missouri-Kansas City. There, I graduated Magna Cum Laude for my undergraduate degree and subsequently received my medical degree with the Latin Honor of Summa Cum Laude. During medical school, I was initiated into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society as a junior candidate, an honor only given to the top 1 percent of students in each medical school class. I then went on to pursue a transitional year internship at Presence Saint Joseph Hospital in Chicago. I completed my dermatology residency training at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Columbia University Medical Center in New York City. After completing my Ivy League training in dermatology, I had the privilege of completing a fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery and dermatologic oncology under the direction of Dr. Hubert T. Greenway, who was trained by Dr. Fredric E. Mohs himself. I am a dermatologist certified by the American Board of Dermatology, am fellowship trained in Mohs Micrographic Surgery, and trained at an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education and American College of Mohs Surgery accredited fellowship program. Throughout my training and career, I have been the author and co-author of numerous publications and the leader of several presentations. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, and I enjoy traveling, watching documentary films, and doing indoor cycling.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
During my dermatology training, I was always astounded and humbled by the beauty of Mohs surgery and its ability to remove patients’ skin cancer. Mohs surgery not only gives me the ability to get to know and help an amazing patient population but also allows me to use my innate technical and artistic abilities in surgery to treat cutaneous cancers. I love my job because of the people I meet every day. It is a privilege to care for members, and they are the reason my job doesn’t seem like work.
Cómo vivo bien
Keeping balance in my life is very important to me. In addition to enjoying my time as a Mohs surgeon, I enjoy relaxing with my family and friends, staying active by walking in the beautiful Southern California weather and by spinning. I enjoy learning about people’s lives and am an avid audiobook listener of memoirs and biographies.
