Acerca de mí
I am pleased to have the opportunity to tell you a little about who I am and what I do. I feel fortunate to work in an environment that allows me to provide quality medical care, especially pain management, to my members. I am committed to do the best I can for my members by being a compassionate physician.
I was born in Sydney, Australia and decided at an early age that I wanted to be a physician. I completed my undergraduate and graduate studies in Australia and the United Kingdom. I practiced as an anesthesiologist in Australia before coming to the United States in 1991. It was at that time, in upstate New York, that I discovered the field of pain management. I fell in love with Southern California when I moved here more than 15 years ago. I have a small family, mostly in Los Angeles, but also in Australia and Europe, and I enjoy visiting them when time allows.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
I understand how difficult it is to live with chronic pain. Therefore, it's important that members are offered a wide range of treatments, including up-to-date multidisciplinary therapies, which can be individualized for each member. These may include conservative and/or interventional therapies. I strive to work together with my members with chronic pain to improve their quality of life.
Cómo vivo bien
I believe that a balanced lifestyle allows me to be a better doctor and person. My family, including my therapy dog, is important to me. I enjoy spending time with my husband and my adult daughters. I am passionate about all forms of swing and ballroom dancing, which is my major form of exercise. In my spare time, I volunteer with my therapy dog, visiting hospitals, nursing homes, and schools for challenged students. I also love to cook, enjoy the arts and travel, and also take advantage of all things that living in Southern California has to offer.
