Se aceptan pacientes nuevos.
Welcome to my Web page. I feel fortunate to have this opportunity to welcome those of you who are new and to thank those of you whom I already know. It is, of course, an honor and a privilege to assist you in your health care.
I come from a small family that lived in South Central Los Angeles. I grew up as a Kaiser Permanente member. My interests were always science and compassion. When searching for a career in college, it seemed that becoming a physician was a way to merge my two loves in life. However, in order to pay for this career, I needed large loans, which I received through a federal program. Repayment was in the form of practicing medicine in an underserved area, which I did in a small town in Georgia for four years before coming to Kaiser Permanente.
I joined Kaiser Permanente in 1989 with the goal of practicing quality medicine in a large city with a small-town feel. I believe I have achieved that here. Everyone throughout the office, including the receptionist, lab techs, pharmacists, and nurses brings a family kind of concern and respect for each other as well as our patients. We work with you as a team to care for your health.
As you may know, good health is part mental, physical and spiritual. All of us need to find that place that balances mental and spiritual calm with physical strength. In order to achieve this goal, it is necessary to have good nutrition, regular exercise, sufficient sleep, interests and goals, personal achievements, positive relationships with family and friends, a discovery of the wonders in the world and in ourselves, and just good old fashion fun. I make every attempt to do all of these things on a regular basis and encourage my patients to do so as well. Clearly, much can be achieved with a positive attitude and sufficient guidance.
