Acerca de mí
Hello, and welcome to my Web page!
I joined Kaiser Permanente in 1990, after finishing my residency in orthopedic surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. I feel blessed to be part of what I see as a great health care system at Kaiser Permanente. In 2002, I transferred from West Los Angeles to Bellflower, where I now work on a half-time basis. My family and I receive our health care through Kaiser Permanente and couldn't be happier with the physicians and staff. As a California native, I returned home to family and friends after completing my residency in the Midwest. I married a physician assistant, whom I met during my training and who now works in orthopedic oncology at the Kaiser Permanente Baldwin Park Medical Center. We have four children—three of whom are now in college. Our home is truly multigenerational as my father—a retired physician who has multiple sclerosis—moved in with us after the passing of my mother.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
My first 12 years of practice with Kaiser Permanente were in general orthopedics, with specialties in joint replacement and pediatric orthopedics. In 2002, I switched to a half-time practice with a focus on pediatric orthopedics and was thrilled to take a sabbatical at Shriners Hospital for Children in Los Angeles for three months in 2007. I so enjoy working in Kaiser Permanente's Orthopedics Department—mostly in Bellflower in Baldwin Park—seeing mainly pediatric orthopedic patients.
Cómo vivo bien
Since 2002, I’ve become an avid quilter. I've made over 15 quilts for family and friends, and as donations for our local elementary school and church. I lost 40 pounds through diet and exercise, and I continue walking, jogging, and taking weekly exercise classes when able. I’m also very involved with the National Charity League, Inc., where my daughters and I volunteer in numerous capacities with many organizations.
