Acerca de mí
Welcome to my Web page. I am happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and to tell you about my practice.
I was born at the Kaiser Permanente hospital in Fontana, where my father was a physician. I was raised in Southern California but spent time during my schooling in Chicago and Northern California, both of which I enjoyed immensely. At the completion of my medical training, I joined the faculty of a medical school in Syracuse, New York, but I was very happy to move back to sunny Southern California in 2001 with my husband and two sons. I have been an active participant in fundraising for Autism Speaks, an organization that sponsors autism research and conducts awareness and outreach activities. I continue in my efforts to increase awareness of autism and its treatment.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
My practice encompasses many diseases, including diabetes and thyroid disorders, such as thyroid cancer and pituitary problems, among others. I knew I wanted to be an endocrinologist long before I entered medical school. I have always found the study of hormonal disorders fascinating. As many endocrine diseases are chronic, I am frequently able to establish long-term relationships with my members. It’s rewarding to help people not only treat an immediate problem but also to help them improve the quality of their lives over the long term.
Cómo vivo bien
I am a strong believer that appropriate diet and exercise are the keys to lifelong health. I believe you should choose an activity that will keep you engaged and having fun for a long time. I have completed a half marathon and I have earned my black belt in tae kwon do. I would encourage others to set an exercise goal and then work hard to get there. Taking time off to cheer for the Dodgers, going to the theater, or reading a good book can be equally helpful for keeping your brain as healthy as the rest of your body—and are some of the great ways to relieve the stress we all feel in our day-to-day lives.
