Welcome to my Web page. I’m happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and to tell you about my practice.
I was born in Chicago and was the fourth of seven children. My family moved to Southern California when I was in my early teens. I knew I wanted to become a doctor. I loved caring for people and studying the human body. I did my undergraduate study at the UC Irvine, where I did research in breast cancer treatment and also volunteered at a free clinic in the evenings. I also played rugby for UC Irvine. After receiving my bachelor’s degree, I did research in metabolic disease and essential trace elements, followed by research in renal dialysis at the UCLA medical school. I was awarded a National Institutes of Health fellowship in my freshmen year of medical school to continue my clinical research. My daughter and son were born during this time.
I have been working at Kaiser Permanente’s Bellflower Medical Center for over 25 years. I love the cultural diversity of my colleagues and working in an environment in which providing high-quality care for our members is the top priority. Taking care of patients and ensuring their good health and well-being means the most to me. I strongly believe that working together with my patients to create an effective preventive care regimen and following a healthy lifestyle can provide each patient with a healthy and meaningful life now and in the future. Good communication and working together are essential to patient care.
Living a balanced lifestyle is essential for good health. Taking time for your family and yourself in daily life is vital to your well-being. I exercise early in the morning every day and I love to play tennis. My wife is also an avid tennis player, and we often play together. Both of my children were varsity tennis players in high school. We love the outdoors and traveling. We especially enjoy Japan, where my wife’s family is from.
