Acerca de mí
Hi! Welcome to Kaiser Permanente, and welcome to my Web page! My name is Jeff, and I’m glad to have the opportunity to present my credentials to you and share other information about myself. It’s very important that you feel comfortable with your pediatrician, and I hope this page will help you get to know me better. I look forward to us working together to improve and maintain your health.
I grew up in Northern California, raised by a single immigrant mother. During high school, I volunteered at the local hospital and became an EMT. Through these experiences, I developed a desire to help others using medicine and became the first person in my family to pursue medical school. I moved to sunny Southern California to study biochemistry and health communication at USC and to attend USC’s medical school. During medical school, I found great joy in helping children feel better, so I made the decision to become a pediatrician. After finishing my training at Harbor-UCLA in Torrance, I worked for 4 years as a general pediatrician at an inner-city clinic in Long Beach prior to joining the pediatric team full time at Kaiser Permanente. Over the last 3 decades, I have also had the privilege of serving overseas on medical mission trips to Mexico, Bolivia, China, India, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. My wife, daughter, and I also have experience fostering children in our home.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
I am a general pediatrician at the Cudahy Medical Office who sees members from birth through 17 years old. My goal is to partner with families to help children live healthy and fruitful lives. I consider it an honor and privilege to care for the health of other people’s children and to be entrusted with members’ joys, fears, dreams, and hopes. Even though I may see many members in a day, I try to give as much time and attention as possible to each of them. I see it as my duty to stay up to date on medical advancements and to communicate my medical knowledge clearly so patients and their parents can make informed choices about their health.
Cómo vivo bien
I balance what I love at work — helping children feel better and stay healthy — with what I love outside of work. I greatly enjoy spending quality time with friends and family, especially over a healthy and tasty meal. I live well spiritually by reading the Bible, praying, spending time in nature, and being an active member in my church. I relax by enjoying hobbies such as playing tennis, skiing, biking, tinkering with cars, playing the guitar, and fixing things around the house.
