Acerca de mí
Welcome to my Web page. I am happy to have this chance to introduce my practice and myself to you. I feel very fortunate to work with my colleagues and our members at Kaiser Permanente, and I look forward to working with you to care for your health or the health of your loved ones.
I completed medical school at the University of Hong Kong. After receiving basic orthopedic training in Hong Kong, I went to the University of Liverpool in the United Kingdom for advanced training in orthopedic surgery. I am a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Australia. I am interested in children’s orthopedics and received fellowship training at the Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center and Shriners Hospitals for Children. I am an active member of the Pediatric Orthopedic Society of North America. The Orange County Medical Association named me a physician of excellence every year from 2005 to 2016. I also received a physician’s exceptional contribution award from Kaiser Permanente in 2006 and a David Lawrence, MD, Community Service Award in 2010. I have published journal articles on various topics in orthopedics. I am also a clinical associate professor in the Department of Orthopedics at UC Irvine Medical Center.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
My practice is focused on children with orthopedic problems that include congenital deformities, neuromuscular disorders, leg-length discrepancy, scoliosis, benign bone tumors, pediatric trauma, rotational and angular deformities of lower extremities, and foot deformities. Member and family education is very important in managing a child’s orthopedic problems. Some conditions require casting and bracing. Some may require surgery. I work closely with pediatric colleagues to optimize the outcomes of orthopedic management.

Physical, mental, and spiritual health are all important to me. I like swimming, dancing, cycling, and video editing. I attend church regularly and serve in different committees in church. Service to others is very important to me. I volunteer in community clinics for low-income patients, and I have led many overseas medical missions to provide orthopedic care for indigent patients in China and Africa.
