Acerca de mí
Welcome to my Web page. I am happy for the opportunity to tell you about my life and my practice. I feel very fortunate to work in ophthalmology at Woodland Hills Medical Center because of my wonderful colleagues and environment, and I look forward to working with you to care for your eye health.
At age 6, after meeting a blind great-aunt, I decided to become an ophthalmologist. I grew up in Philadelphia and attended Haverford College and the University of Pennsylvania Medical School there. After my internship in San Francisco, I completed a residency in emergency medicine at UCLA and practiced in the Conejo Valley. After a few years as an emergentologist (an emergency medicine physician), I went back to Philadelphia for my ophthalmology residency. Four years later, I left the cold weather and returned to sunny Southern California. I have practiced here ever since. In addition, I hold a degree from the La Varenne cooking school in Paris.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
I love my work and find it very gratifying. Ophthalmology is a wonderful specialty. I do a lot of general comprehensive ophthalmology, although my expertise is cataract surgery, both routine and complex. Every eye is unique and every person is special. I work with a warm and friendly staff and, although my practice is pretty hectic, most of the people I see think that I have a pretty decent sense of humor (stuffed shirts beware!). And my wife picks out my clothes so I usually look fairly well dressed.
Cómo vivo bien
How do I stay well? I just try to keep moving, eat healthily, exercise daily, and try not to stress too much. My parents taught me to do everything in moderation, and I strive to live up to that goal. I’m passionate about three things: my two grown daughters and my wife.
