Acerca de mí
Welcome to my Web page. I appreciate having this opportunity to introduce myself and to tell you about my orthopedic practice. I feel very privileged to work at Kaiser Permanente because of my great colleagues and our members, and I look forward to helping to care for your musculoskeletal health.
I grew up in Ardmore, Pennsylvania—just outside of Philadelphia—and I attended Lower Merion High School. If that sounds familiar, it's because Kobe Bryant was a year ahead of me in school. I attended Princeton University for my undergraduate education. I moved to New York City for medical school, and I continued further north to Boston for my residency training in orthopedic surgery. I moved to Alabama to study sports medicine with Dr. James Andrews. Later, I moved to California with my wife (who is an anesthesiologist), my daughter (who is the light of my life), and our two rescue dogs.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
I chose orthopedic surgery because I wanted to take care of people at all stages of life, and because I enjoy fixing and reconstructing, rather than removing. My practice includes general orthopedics, and I’m also trained in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder, hip, and knee. Hip arthroscopy, and the management of young people with hip disorders, is a particular interest of mine.
Cómo vivo bien
I feel happy just by being in the warm Southern California sun with my wife and daughter. I appreciate the importance of balance in my life, and although I very much enjoy my job, it’s only part of who I am. I enjoy running, biking, hiking, snowboarding, and golf, and these activities help me maintain my balance and, I believe, make me a more effective physician and surgeon.
