Acerca de mí
Welcome to my Web page. As my patient or the parent of my patient, you will sometimes share information about yourself and your family with me. I hope that the information presented here will make you feel comfortable having me as your or your child's physician.
I wanted to be a physician from the time I was 5. My father, who dealt with a lot of physicians, brought a stethoscope and a blood pressure meter home for me to play with. Every time somebody got hurt in my neighborhood, I was the first kid to look at how others dealt with the patient. My friends and I always played house and I ended up being the doctor, the nurse, or the mother with a sick kid. I've been able to fulfill my wish to help others every single day of the 24 years I have been a physician with Kaiser Permanente. I was born in the Philippines, received a bachelor's of science degree in pharmacy, and passed my pharmacy board exam while I was in the first year of my medical education. After passing the medical board and completing an internship in my country, I became a missionary doctor in Thailand for one and a half years. I then immigrated to the United States and did my pediatric residency and neurology fellowship at Loma Linda University Medical Center.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
I am one of several physicians at Kaiser Permanente in Fontana who run the learning and behavior clinic. We work with children who have attention deficit disorder or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, learning difficulties or disabilities, behavioral and/or emotional problems, autism, and developmental delays. Having the opportunity to help these children is gratifying because I become a participant in shaping their lives. When you have helped a child, you actually have helped the whole family. Sometimes, just my listening to my patients and their parents is therapeutic for them. I care a lot about these special children and they need us, parents, teachers, physicians, and friends to help them discover a sense of value and purpose in their lives. Everyone is valuable and has a purpose on this earth.
Cómo vivo bien
I am an active person and am constantly doing something. I love gardening, cooking, traveling, crocheting, and arranging flowers. When I find the time or run out of things to do (which rarely happens), I read biographical novels. A day never passes without my giving thanks to God. I owe everything that I am and have to Him. I try to look at what is positive in everyone or in any misfortunes. My motto has always been; If there's a will, there's a way. I think positive thoughts, try to solve problems, and avoid creating problems for myself and others. I come short of expectations as others do but I always try again and do it better the next time. God-willing I am doing exactly that.
