Welcome to my Web page. I am glad to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice in Obstetrics and Gynecology. I hope this page will help you feel better acquainted with me; it is important that you feel comfortable with your physician. I look forward to working with you to care for you and your health.
I wanted to be a physician from the time I was a young girl. My father, who is also a physician, always worked very hard. He was a busy dad but he loved his job as a urologist. He always made time for both his family and for his patients. I learned a lot from him as I grew up; he has been a wonderful mentor for me and influenced my decision to go into medicine. Looking for a change, I moved from New York City to Los Angeles after medical school and my obstetrics/gynecology training. I fell in love with the sunny weather and have made Southern California my home since 2004.
I enjoy my diverse practice in Ob/Gyn because I care for women of all ages. I am able to cover many broad topics in one day, for example, well-woman Pap tests, complicated twin pregnancies, cervical lesions, and postmenopausal bleeding. I spend about half of my time per week in an office setting and the other half in labor and delivery and/or in surgery.
I try to stay healthy physically by jogging and visiting the gym at least five times per week. I ran a half marathon in 2014 and I even ran a marathon while in medical school in New York City. My family life is also a priority for me. When not working, I am out at the park, hiking, going to the beach, traveling or relaxing with my family. We love to walk and hike outside, and being with my family makes me feel as though my life is balanced between work and play.
