About Me
Welcome to the Baldwin Park Department of Pediatrics. Our goal is to provide for your child's medical and psychological needs in a friendly and caring atmosphere.
Biography
I have always had a strong interest in human biology and psychology. I chose a career in medicine in order to apply knowledge from these areas to improve the quality of human health and well-being. I have been with Kaiser Permanente since 1975 as a staff pediatrician, seeing general pediatric patients as well as children with school problems and ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder). I have been married to a wonderful woman since 1968. We have two great kids and two very cute grandsons.
About my practice
When I see your child for an office visit, I think the following are essential: 1. I will listen to all your questions and concerns. 2. I want to know what's most important to you and what ideas you have about your child's problems. 3. I will try to understand your feelings about your child's well-being. 4. We need to agree on a reasonable evaluation and treatment plan. Most importantly, I believe that it is important to understand each child as a unique individual with different physical and psychological strengths and weaknesses.
How I thrive
I thrive by eating a diet of a wide variety of foods that are not too high in sugar or fat calories. I try to get enough sleep (hard to do!). I walk, play golf, ski, and bike. I try to keep an active mind by reading, keeping up on current events and being an avid sports fan (Go Bruins!). Most importantly, I thrive by trying to be a loving husband, father and grandfather..
