About Me

Hello, and welcome to my Web page. I work hard every day to deliver the best possible surgical care I can to our members here at Kaiser Permanente Woodland Hills Medical Center. I am happy for the opportunity to tell you a little about myself.

Biography

I studied medicine at UC San Francisco and trained in surgery at UCLA. I always wanted to be a surgeon, and I enjoy helping people get better. When I'm not working, I like to go to plays and concerts with my husband, who works in media technology. And we have our hands full with two young daughters at home.

About my practice

I work in the General Surgery Department where I am Chief Of Surgery; I supervise nine other doctors. We embrace new technologies and strive to give our patients access to the best surgical treatments and care available. I have a broad general surgery practice, but I have a special interest in laparoscopic surgery of the GI tract and abdominal wall, thyroid surgery, and anorectal surgery.

How I thrive

I like to go hiking, biking, or jogging when I have the time, but my favorite thing to do with my free time is to spend it with my family. Being with my little girls helps me balance my demanding work schedule and keep everything in perspective. I enjoy my job and my life.
