About Me

I grew up in Arizona, but spent most of my childhood summer vacations visiting family here in Southern California.  My medical training has taken me to Boston, Los Angeles, and New Haven, CT.  When it came time to choose a location to practice, there was no place that I would rather be than here in beautiful Southern California. I have had the privilege and honor of training under world-renowned gastroenterologists during my fellowship.  I am thrilled to have returned to San Diego to work in such an outstanding healthcare system.

Biography

Thank you for visiting my Web page and allowing me to share some details about me and my practice. I believe that the patient-physician relationship is sacred and it is important for you to feel comfortable with your doctor. I am excited to be able to join you on the journey to better health and hope that this site will help you get to know me.

About my practice

I see a wide range of patients with gastrointestinal disorders, and I have a special interest in inflammatory bowel disease.  We have a phenomenal team of medical assistants, nurses and gastroenterologists who all work together to help you achieve the best possible gastrointestinal health. I am bilingual in English and Spanish.

How I thrive

I enjoy my time at work, but my wife and four children keep me grounded.  We take advantage of the beautiful San Diego weather and location as often as we can.  We frequently go on walks and my children make sure that I stay active.  I have found a recent love of cooking recently and hope to develop that talent more in the future.  My family and I are spiritual and I believe that some form of spirituality is important for everyone.
