About Me

Hi. Welcome to my Web page.

Biography

I was born in Pusan, South Korea. At age 10, my family moved to London, England, for 3 years for my father's job. When we moved back to South Korea, my father was diagnosed with a brain tumor and had his first of two craniotomies. I guess that's when that little seed of desire to become a doctor began to form. We moved to San Angelo, Texas, and then to Dallas when I was 15—again due to my father's job. Then on to college and medical school. I met my husband in medical school and now we have three amazing children that take all the energy and time I have left after a full day of work. And even though I get close to losing my mind, I love every minute of it! I majored in piano and violin performance in college and now, it remains a hobby. I play music to relax and calm myself down—music therapy!

About my practice

I’m an anesthesiologist with fellowship training in interventional pain management. I enjoy variety of surgical cases and the challenges they bring. I also enjoy the interventional pain procedures.

How I thrive

I stay healthy by running around with my children, and keeping them busy, entertained, and happy. At home, I strive to cook healthy, homemade foods. I enjoy cooking, baking, knitting, sewing, painting, and making crafts whenever I have spare time. I enjoy a good book (now Kindle) and the beach. I LOVE the San Diego weather!
