I am board-certified in internal-medicine and I earned my medical degree at the Madurai Medical College in Madurai, India. I completed a three-year residency program in internal medicine at the Oakwood Hospital and Medical Center in Dearborn, Michigan. I also served as a research associate in pediatric cardiology fluid dynamics laboratory at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon and published research papers in Journal Echocardiography. I started my internal medicine practice at Tuality Health Care in Hillsboro, Oregon in 2005. I also worked as hospitalist at Southwest Washington Medical Center in Vancouver, Washington, and the Portland Veteran's Affairs (VA) Medical Center taking care of hospitalized patients. I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2013.
I have special interest in the prevention and treatment of chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, congestive heart failure, and coronary artery disease. I practice evidence based medicine. I encourage informed decision making. I educate people to help them make their own decisions about care. I enjoy long term relationship with patients.
I enjoy spending time with my family. I also enjoy running, hiking, photography and spending time with friends.
