Thank you for visiting my Web page and for the opportunity to tell you a little bit about myself and my practice.
Originally from New York City, I first moved to California for medical school at UC San Francisco. After finishing medical school and an internship at California Pacific Medical Center, I returned to the East Coast for ophthalmology training at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. I came to San Diego for subspecialty training in retinal surgery at UC San Diego and joined Kaiser Permanente in 2010.
I work in the Ophthalmology Department, where I focus on retinal diseases, including macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachments, and a wide variety of other disorders. While some eye conditions may seem complicated, I make a point of explaining to each patient his or her diagnosis and treatment options in an understandable fashion, and I work with them to develop a treatment plan they are comfortable with.
Outside of work, I spend time with my two sons, take advantage of the San Diego weather, and follow New York sports teams.
