About Me

Hello, and welcome to my Web page. I am a pediatrician and primary care sports medicine physician at the Vandever Medical Offices in San Diego. I also work as a pediatrician caring for children in the hospital at San Diego Medical Center on Zion Avenue.

I grew up in New England with five brothers and one sister. I received my bachelor’s degree from Gordon College and later my medical degree from Georgetown University. I completed my pediatric internship and residency at the Naval Medical Center San Diego and a sports medicine fellowship at the Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton. I completed 12 years in the U.S. Navy as an undersea medical officer, pediatrician, and sports medicine physician with tours in San Diego; Groton, Connecticut; Portsmouth, New Hampshire; Puerto Rico; Camp Pendleton; and Quantico, Virginia. My work with Kaiser Permanente began in 2008. I am truly enjoying my work here and look forward to many years to come.

About my practice

I enjoy seeing a wide variety of patients in my general pediatric practice, in addition to providing a pediatric-focused approach to nonsurgical primary care in sports medicine.

How I thrive

I enjoy my work and my time away from work. I have completed several triathlons at various levels of competition. I enjoy surfing, sailing, running, swimming, and spending time with my family.
