I am originally from Bosnia and Herzegovina where I was born and where I lived until my early teenage years. My family relocated to the United States in 1994 and I have been in Colorado ever since. I got my Bachelor of Arts degree from Colorado College in Colorado Springs, and Medical Degree from University of Colorado Denver which is where I also completed my training in the field of Internal Medicine. My husband, son, and I love living in Denver!
I enjoy getting to know my patients and building long term relationships. I believe that patients and physicians must work together toward a common goal of healthy body and mind, and I place strong emphasis on the important role that patients play in their own healthcare. Additionally, I believe that a healthy lifestyle and prevention of disease are the first and most essential steps in one’s good health.
In my free time, I like to enjoy the outdoors with my family. We try to take advantage of the beautiful Colorado weather, both in the winter and summer, and we enjoy exploring new places in the state. Travel is a passion of ours so whenever we have a longer stretch of time off, we like to visit new countries and spend time vacationing by the ocean.
