Welcome to my Web page. I'm glad to have this opportunity to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice. I feel very fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente; it's a great environment to work in due to my wonderful colleagues and our members. I look forward to working with you to care for your health.
I grew up in Southern California and have lived here most of my life except for medical school in Chicago, Illinois. I became a doctor because I wanted to help people, and practicing medicine gives me that opportunity.
Healthy living and preventive care are the best ways to stay healthy, but we all need help from our health care professionals when we're not feeling well. Doctors and members can work together in this effort. I want to be your partner in health, and it helps me better care for you when you are actively involved in taking care of your health.
I absolutely believe in the notion of total health, which considers all aspects of a person's state of being -- body, mind, and spirit -- and I model my everyday habits on this philosophy. I enjoy running to stay in shape and have participated in marathons. I also make it a priority to set aside time to simply relax. Finding a balance is what we all strive for, and Kaiser Permanente encourages both its doctors and members to achieve this balance.
