About Me

I found my passion for psychology initially while studying at the University of Oregon. I enjoyed learning about the brain, development, and abnormal psychology. I moved to Portland to pursue my master's degree in Counseling at Lewis and Clark College. I honed my skills for several years while working in a nearby rural county as an outpatient therapist, crisis specialist, intake coordinator, and pre-commitment investigator.

About my practice

I joined Kaiser Permanente Northwest in 2014 as a Mental Health Triage Therapist. While I do not carry my own caseload, I enjoy helping new and existing members initiate mental health treatment. I understand asking for help can be an overwhelming process and I try my best to reduce any anxiety that may develop prior to/during the phone call. I take time to implement self-soothing exercises, describe mental health treatment options and what to expect, and work with members to find the best provider available to meet their needs.

How I thrive

As a mental health therapist, I try to practice what I teach. My self-care activities include playing or listening to music, enjoying a good book or puzzle, watching University of Oregon football games, and spending time with my family, friends, and pets. As a born and raised Oregonian, I make time to enjoy multiple outdoor activities such as running, hiking, and swimming.
