About Me

Hi, my name is Dr. Jason Gajarsa, but most of my patients call me Dr. G. I appreciate the opportunity to share with you a little about myself and my background so you can determine whether you would be comfortable having me as your cardiologist.

Biography

I was born and raised in a suburb of Washington, D.C., as the fourth of five children. After completing medical school and residency training at Georgetown University, I moved to Southern California with my wife, a California native. We have a 3-year-old daughter who keeps us busy and already says she wants to be a doctor like her daddy.

About my practice

I decided to specialize in cardiology after watching my grandfather and father confront the challenges of their own heart disease. As a result, I’m passionate about helping my patients to develop a healthy lifestyle that promotes heart health. I want each of my patients to feel like I am giving them the same amount of care, compassion, and patience that I give to my own family members.

How I thrive

Outside of work, my family is my main priority and source of enjoyment. Together, we love to travel and go to the beach. My daughter and I are taking violin lessons together (that’s a work in progress). I am a diehard fan of sports teams in the Washington, D.C. area, but I’m most passionate about ice hockey. Having a toddler at home keeps me active, laughing, and exasperated—all at the same time.
