About Me

Welcome to my Web page. My objective is not only to share my credentials with you but also to give you a better sense of who I am. I started working for Kaiser Permanente in San Diego in July 2007 and can honestly say that it has been a wonderful experience.

Biography

I was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and went to UCLA, where I received a bachelor's degree in anthropology and a master's degree in public health. I attended medical school at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia and then moved back to the West Coast to complete my emergency medicine residency training at UC Davis in Sacramento. My wife and I love San Diego and plan to stay here for a very long time.

About my practice

Emergency medicine is an exciting and rewarding specialty. Every day I meet friendly, genuine people with a variety of medical conditions. It is an honor to work with my patients and I strive daily to provide them with quality, compassionate care. I have wonderful colleagues who share my work philosophy, thereby creating an environment where both patients and physicians can thrive.

How I thrive

One of our jobs as physicians is to promote healthy lives and well being. I take that philosophy to heart and try to apply it to my own life as well. When I'm not working in the Emergency Department, I enjoy spending my time with family and friends. My hobbies include fly-fishing, photography, sports, and traveling — basically anything that involves the outdoors.
