I am a Colorado native, raised in Denver just a few miles from the Skyline Medical Offices. I am so grateful to get to live and practice in this city and close to my family. My husband and I have one lovable black lab and spend our weekends hiking and biking around the area. I love being a family medicine physician because I get to know and work with people of all ages–newborns to 90-year-olds—and get to know families.
My goal is to take care of my patients through all stages of their life and their families’ lives. I strongly believe my role as a physician is as an educator—to help my patients understand their options and why certain medical tests might be or not be recommended. I have special interests in diabetes and women's health. I am also passionate about reducing medical harms through over-prescribing and over-testing. I am currently working with the Colorado Academy of Family Physicians around the opioid epidemic and how we as physicians can ensure we are following evidence and prescribing carefully. I am very committed to meeting patients where they are and helping them understand steps to improve their health.
In my time away from work I love to cook and garden. I am always up for trying to recreate a dish I had out. I also love to read and am in several book clubs.
