About Me

Hello, and welcome to my Web page! I look forward to partnering with you to achieve your health goals.

Biography

I’m originally from beautiful (but rainy) Portland, Oregon. I went to Loyola Marymount University here in Los Angeles for college and fell in love with the sunshine while working towards my bachelor’s degree. I attended Georgetown University for medical school, where I learned the value, and difficulties, of four seasons—winter and summer on the East Coast can be a bit difficult. With my family still on the West Coast and the sunshine calling, I returned to Los Angeles for my residency at UCLA. After graduation, I stayed on as a faculty member at UCLA for two years before joining Kaiser Permanente. While at UCLA, I was involved in all aspects of patient care, including delivering babies, taking care of patients in the hospital, treating patients of all ages in my office, and helping to train the next generation of family medicine physicians. My real passion, however, lies in preventive medicine.

About my practice

Kaiser Permanente is a great place for me to practice preventive medicine and provide comprehensive care to members of all ages. This care includes, but is not limited to, women's health, pediatrics, men's health, sports medicine, and some minor procedures—including skin biopsies and excisions, joint injections, Pap smears, IUDs, and uterine biopsies. I believe the best care is coordinated care. Honest and reliable communication between our nursing staff, pharmacy staff, and specialists (when needed) is key for our success with your health.

How I thrive

I enjoy spending time with my husband. He's also a transplant to Los Angeles (from Philadelphia), so we love to explore much of what L.A. has to offer—from museums and beaches to hikes and the huge selection of restaurants.
