About Me

I was born and raised in northeastern Pennsylvania, where I also attended college and medical school, completed my residency and developed a thriving private dermatology practice. After vacationing in Hawaii several times through the years, our entire family fell in love with the islands’ people, climate and beauty and we decided to make Hawaii our home.

About my practice

In high school I volunteered extensively at our local hospital, and that experience inspired me to become a physician. I have always enjoyed working with people to help them achieve their health care goals. I chose to join Hawaii Permanente Medical Group because I was attracted to practicing with a large group of knowledgeable physicians in a multi-specialty setting. I particularly enjoy practicing dermatology because it involves both medical and surgical care of patients of all different ages. My philosophy of care is to treat patients with compassion, integrity and respect and to provide them with the best and most advanced medical care available. I also really enjoy getting to know my patients by spending time during their visits devoted to learning more about their personal lives and concerns.

How I thrive

I try to stay healthy by eating well, exercising and spending time with my family, friends and two dogs. I enjoy walking, reading, traveling, meeting new people, cultivating friendships, and spending time at the beach.
