About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I'm happy to have this chance to present my credentials and share additional information about myself. It's very important that you feel comfortable with your personal physician. I feel very fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente and look forward to working with you to preserve and improve your health. Hopefully this page will help you start to know more about me.

Biography

Originally from New Jersey, I went to Pittsburgh for medical school and met my wife there. I came to San Diego for additional training, and then to Orange County when Kaiser Permanente opened up offices here in 1979. My son and daughter (twins) were born at that time. My main interests are hypertension and critical care medicine. I work mornings in the Intensive Care Unit. I am a specialist in clinical hypertension, and an expert panel member of the 8th Joint National Commission on High Blood Pressure. In 2010 I was awarded the prestigious Marvin Moser Clinical Hypertension award by the American Hypertension Society in New York City. I'm a senior editor of the Journal of Clinical Hypertension, and serve as clinical leader of the Southern California and national Kaiser Permanente hypertension programs.
