About Me

Hello! I am Dr. Andrews, and I am pleased to share with you a little about myself and my practice with Kaiser Permanente in Kern County. I am honored to be a part of the Kaiser Permanente team, and I enjoy the diversity and family-friendly lifestyle in Kern County.

Biography

I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2016 in order to be closer to my family in the western part of the country. I went to Spelman College in Georgia for my undergraduate studies, attended Duke University School of Medicine in North Carolina, and completed my residency training at the University of Utah Rocky Mountain Center for Occupational and Environmental Health.

About my practice

I chose occupational medicine because I wanted to care for our workforce. I also wanted to focus on preventive medicine, which occupational medicine is part of and which I do in my practice. I encourage members to try to maintain a healthy lifestyle, stressing the importance of healthy eating habits, exercise, and being active, which can sometimes be difficult when you are injured and in pain.

How I thrive

Keeping balance in my life is a constant work in progress. As a wife, mom, and physician, I am used to multitasking and making the best of the hours in my day. Family is the most important part of my life, and I love spending time with them. I enjoy getting lost in a story, and I love to cook for relaxation. I also enjoy visiting new places, particularly beach destinations.
