About Me

Welcome to my Web page. Let me tell you a little bit about myself.

Biography

I am originally from the East Coast (New Jersey). In my undergraduate studies at Rutgers University, I was a sexual health advocate, teaching my peers and others about safer sex practices, including gay/lesbian/bisexual health issues, as well as drug and alcohol issues. (I am not an erectile dysfunction specialist or sex therapist.) My early love of math and the sciences, combined with my passion to teach about health, led me to choose a career in medicine.

About my practice

I believe in helping people achieve better health through a healthier lifestyle. I individualize each patient’s treatment plan based on current evidence-based practices. I believe in taking responsibility for every order and referral that I write. I do not write orders or send referrals before I personally assess my patients in clinic. I do not write orders or send referrals if I think it is not medically necessary. I insist on meeting my patients first so that I can offer them more immediate treatment and to determine if a referral is necessary. I prefer patients to limit e-mails—patients may e-mail me with routine questions only after we have met personally in the clinic.

How I thrive

I believe that good health is a daily personal choice. I balance my life with a healthy, moderate diet and daily exercise. In my free time, I pursue my hobbies in crafts and music.
