About Me

I grew up outside of Minneapolis, Minnesota. I received my undergraduate degree from Emory University and my medical degree from New York Medical College. While in New York, I met my husband and together we traveled to Denver to complete our residency training programs at Saint Joseph Hospital. I grew up in a medical family and have always been drawn to the practice of medicine and helping people.

About my practice

What I love most about my job is the potential to follow a woman from puberty to pregnancy to menopause, in both the hospital and medical office settings. I think OB-GYN gives me a unique opportunity to get to know my patients at both exciting and difficult times in their lives, and that bond is really special. I practice full-scope OB-GYN and I believe in treating patients not only with the surgeries and medicines that I learned in medical school and residency, but with lifestyle modification, exercise and stress reduction.

How I thrive

I thrive best when my life is in balance. I chose to major in English to provide balance to the science-heavy "pre-med" curriculum. During my residency, I also discovered yoga. The greatest source of balance in my life is the ability to spend time with my wonderful husband and our family, preferably in the great outdoors – running, bicycling, skiing/snowboarding, hiking, or just taking a walk in the fresh Colorado air.
