I was born and raised in Oklahoma. I followed a rainbow to Honolulu that ended at Kaiser Permanente. I find the people in the South and Hawaii to be very welcoming and similar in their core values. I have three young boys who keep me very active and up-to-date on video games, sports, and bugs.
I have always wanted to go into medicine in order to help other people. I find it rewarding when I am able to identify a problem, remedy it, and improve someone’s life. I enjoy working in the surgical field because it provides an ever-changing environment that allows me to come into contact with and help a lot of people in a short amount of time. At the Hawaii Permanente Medical Group, we strive to set our standards high and achieve them, which directly benefits our members. I aim to treat all of my patients the way I would want to be treated. During the appointment, I particularly enjoy the time when I can talk with patients about their lives. Within our medical group, I serve as the co-chair of the Kaiser Permanente National Surgical Symposium.
I enjoy tennis, basketball, Pilates, and ocean activities. I also look forward to spending time with my friends and family, going to the movies, and doing volunteer work.
