About Me

I was born and raised in South Dakota and then moved to California for my undergraduate, medical school, and residency education. I first considered medicine as a career while in high school, and becoming an anesthesiologist has been one of the best decisions of my life. My wife and two ferocious dogs (a Shihpoo and a Maltipoo) make up our little family, and we love the outdoors! My extended family members have relocated to the Pacific Northwest, and I am so happy to be living close to them.

About my practice

As an anesthesiologist practicing in the Portland-area medical centers and surgery centers, I enjoy the variety that each day brings, caring for our youngest to most elderly members and everyone in between. In addition to general anesthesia my practice also includes obstetric anesthesia, one of the most rewarding aspects of my job.

How I thrive

When I am not at work my favorite things to do usually involve my family and friends. I love spending time with my wife and puppies (usually in that order, ha). We love to travel, camp, watch movies, snowboard, and ride bikes together. During football season, I must admit that an ideal weekend for me consists of watching numerous college and NFL football games. I love playing and watching sports whenever I can!
