About Me

I was born and raised in the middle of Michigan, also called “mid mitten.” My husband Dr. Bruce Taylor is an ophthalmologist at the Kaiser Permanente Wailuku Clinic and we have two grown children, one of whom is in medical school.

About my practice

I decided to pursue a career in medicine because I wanted to use my abilities to make a positive impact in the lives of the people in my community. I fell in love with pediatrics during my first pediatric rotation and knew that it was the right specialty for me.As a member of the Hawaii Permanente Medical Group, I enjoy being part of a greater team that includes quality physicians in many specialties. I appreciate the coordination and integration of care across practice areas, which gives me access to the right physician care when my patients need it.I value that prevention is an inherent part of pediatric medicine and love witnessing the children grow and change. I believe that care should be tailored to the individual patient and their family. In working with children I enjoy making a lasting connection with them and seeing their health improve over time.

How I thrive

I keep healthy by watching my diet and exercising regularly. I love to hike, ride my bike and snowboard when I get the chance. I am an avid reader and love to travel the world.
