About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I’m happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice. I feel very fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente because of my wonderful colleagues and our members, and look forward to working with you to care for your health.

Biography

I am a native Californian (born in Pasadena) and, aside from four years in New York City attending medical school at Cornell University, have lived in Southern California my entire life. That includes college at nearby Pomona College and my residency/fellowship training at UCLA. I elected to specialize in pediatric hematology-oncology because of the way members and their families inspire me, and the intellectual fulfillment of constantly exploring to find superior treatments.

About my practice

Health and wellness requires a total team effort and our team starts with you. Our incredible nurses, medical assistants, and the other physicians I interact with, make up the rest of your health care team. My field involves pediatric cancers and blood disorders which, by their very nature, are frightening and overwhelming. The fact that our members do well and take ownership of their health in these situations is a testament to the strength of our team.

How I thrive

I am an avid sports fan and enjoy watching and playing basketball and soccer. In my spare time (before I had 2 kids) I liked to read books about American history, including the Civil War and World War II.
