Welcome to my Web page! It would be my privilege to be your doctor a Kaiser Permanente. I look forward to our partnership in optimizing your health.
My family is from a mixed European background. One grandfather was an immigrant who came through Ellis Island and my other grandfather was an immigration judge. I was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley and graduated from Taft High School. I went to UCLA for undergraduate training and to The Charles Drew/UCLA Medical Education Program for medical school. Before becoming a physician, I was an elementary school teacher for eight years, working mainly with bilingual Spanish children in the Los Angeles Unified School District. I was able to use this Spanish-speaking ability throughout my residency in East Los Angeles at White Memorial Medical Center, which is part of Loma Linda University. I have always been attracted to the helping professions and I consider being a physician an extension of my teaching career.
Prevention, prevention, prevention! One of the reasons I love being at Kaiser Permanente is that I share the organization's passion for wellness and health. I truly believe that a stitch in time saves nine. By living a healthy lifestyle and coming in for regular screenings, you can avoid or diminish many medical problems. This leaves you free to live the full life you deserve.
I recharge my batteries by spending time with my family. We like to go outdoors, run around, and get some sunshine. The best medicine for my own soul is seeing my husband smile and hearing the laughter of my two sons!
