About Me

Originally from California, I left my home state to go to medical school in Chicago. From there I did my psychiatric residency with the U.S. Army in Hawaii, then continued to practice psychiatry with the army for 4 years in Tennessee. After completing my commitment to the military, I decided to return to the west for the gorgeous mountains, rivers, ocean, and the wonderful spirit of the people. My preferred pronouns are she/her/hers.

About my practice

I see members with a wide variety of mental health conditions, although I have extra experience with PTSD. As a psychiatrist, I prescribe medications for depression, anxiety, panic disorder, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and other conditions. I encourage members to live active, healthy lives, and I advocate for using only enough medication to relieve distressing symptoms.

  • Culturally specific care: affirming care for LGBTQIA, non-binary; transgender; military/veterans
  • Population specialties: adults
  • Language capacity: English
  • Areas of focus: moods (major depression, bipolar), trauma, ADHD, schizophrenia/schizoaffective disorder

How I thrive

I find I'm at my best when I work hard and then go home. Exercising and spending time with family are my best stress relievers. I very much enjoy riding my bike around town, yoga, and hiking. I enjoy learning new things even if I’m terrible at it to start. I very much enjoy playing piano and guitar badly (we need to start somewhere, right?).
