About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I’m happy to have this opportunity to introduce myself and tell you about my practice. I enjoy working with my terrific colleagues and patients at Kaiser Permanente, and I look forward to working with you, too.

Biography

A native of Hawaii, I left the sunny island of Oahu after high school for the heartland of America: Omaha, Nebraska. Upon completion of my undergraduate and medical studies there, I moved once again, this time to Los Angeles. I completed my residency program at USC and was fortunate enough to join the Kaiser Permanente family thereafter.

About my practice

Anesthesiology as a career is a very special opportunity to connect with and help people in meaningful ways. Caring for patients before their procedures allows me to listen and respond to their concerns about their surgery as well as help put them at ease. It is a privilege to help patients understand what concerns them, translate what they may not grasp, and communicate with them and their families.

How I thrive

Keeping balance in my life is very important to me. I volunteer for AccessOC, a program in which Kaiser Permanente participates, which connects Orange County residents who are medically uninsured or underinsured with volunteer medical specialists who donate their expertise to treat those in need. I am an avid golfer (though the scorecards don’t reflect it!), and I also make it a priority to set aside time to enjoy my family, travel, soak up USC athletics, or just relax.
